Finding Safe Baby Play Yards by Sandy Rutherforde in Family / Babies (submitted 2012-01-16) Giving birth is a miracle and you will always want to ensure that your new baby is protected.
One great way to let your little one play outside and get some sun is to set up baby play yards. You should set up a small area in your yard where you will be able to sit and watch your baby. If you want to take your newborn outside make sure that there is nothing on the ground that could harm them.
Place a blanket on the ground so that the grass does not irritate the baby’s skin. You will want to bring out a few toys that your baby can play with. When you are deciding the location for baby play yards make sure that you chose an area that is shady but has sun as well. This will keep your little one from getting too over heated.
A great idea is to get an umbrella like the kind you use for a patio table and put this in your yard.
This will enable your little one to be able to play outside longer. Newborn babies like to play with toys that they can look at and touch. As your little one gets older you can make the play area larger.
Once your little one starts to walk you will want to make sure you let them play in an area that has a fence. If your yard does not have a fence it is wise to invest in one. These fences can protect your little one from wandering into the street. When your little one starts to walk you should also invest in toys such as a sand box.
